                         sondagem ou de ve{\'{\i}}culos lan{\c{c}}adores, v{\'a}rias 
                         opera{\c{c}}{\~o}es s{\~a}o realizadas, em cuja 
                         execu{\c{c}}{\~a}o os riscos de ocorr{\^e}ncia de descargas 
                         atmosf{\'e}ricas devem ser reduzidos ao m{\'{\i}}nimo 
                         poss{\'{\i}}vel. Instalou-se um sistema de monitoramento do 
                         campo el{\'e}trico e detec{\c{c}}{\~a}o de rel{\^a}mpagos no 
                         Centro de Lan{\c{c}}amento de Alc{\^a}ntara (CLA), no 
                         Maranh{\~a}o, de modo a permitir o acompanhamento da atividade 
                         el{\'e}trica de origem atmosf{\'e}rica da regi{\~a}o. A 
                         an{\'a}lise dos dados obtidos a partir desse sistema permitiu 
                         definir crit{\'e}rios relativos {\`a} atividade el{\'e}trica de 
                         origem atmosf{\'e}rica no CLA e, mais especificamente, no local 
                         da plataforma de lan{\c{c}}amento, para dar apoio {\`a}s 
                         decis{\~o}es de realiza{\c{c}}{\~a}o ou n{\~a}o das 
                         opera{\c{c}}{\~o}es envolvidas numa miss{\~a}o de 
                         lan{\c{c}}amento como, por exemplo, durante as fases de montagem 
                         do ve{\'{\i}}culo, simula{\c{c}}{\~a}o e no lan{\c{c}}amento. 
                         Al{\'e}m dos dados gerados pelo sistema de monitoramento da 
                         atividade el{\'e}trica de origem atmosf{\'e}rica instalado no 
                         CLA, foram utilizados, tamb{\'e}m, os dados existentes na 
                         Divis{\~a}o de Ci{\^e}ncias Atmosf{\'e}rica ACA do Instituto de 
                         Aeron{\'a}utica e Espa{\c{c}}o (IAE) do Centro T{\'e}cnico 
                         Aeroespacial (CTA). S{\~a}o dados meteorol{\'o}gicos que foram 
                         coletados pela esta{\c{c}}{\~a}o meteorol{\'o}gica de 
                         superf{\'{\i}}cie do CLA, localizada na latitude 02° 22'S, 
                         longitude 44° 23'W, constitu{\'{\i}}dos por s{\'e}ries 
                         temporais de 11 (onze) anos (1993 - 2003) e pela 
                         esta{\c{c}}{\~a}o meteorol{\'o}gica do aeroporto de S{\~a}o 
                         Lu{\'{\i}}s MA, constitu{\'{\i}}dos por uma s{\'e}rie 
                         temporal de 53 (cinquenta e tr{\^e}s) anos. ABSTRACT: During a 
                         complete survey rockets or launcher vehicles launching mission, 
                         several operations are accomplished, in whose execution the risks 
                         of atmospheric discharges occurrence should be reduced to the 
                         minimum possible. An electric field and lightning detection 
                         monitoring system was installed in the Launching Center of 
                         Alc{\^a}ntara (CLA), at Maranh{\~a}o, allowing the electrical 
                         activity accompaniment of atmospherical origin. The data analysis 
                         obtained from the system allowed defining criteria related in the 
                         CLA electrical activity of atmospherical origin and, more 
                         specifically, at the launch pad, to support accomplishment 
                         decisions, or not, the operations involved in a launching mission 
                         as, for example, during the vehicle assembly phase, launching 
                         simulation and in the launching itself. Besides the data generated 
                         by the atmospherical electrical activity monitoring system 
                         installed at CLA, it was used, also, the existent Alc{\^a}ntara 
                         area climatological data available in the Aeronautic and Space 
                         Institute (IAE) on its Atmospheric Sciences Division (ACA) at the 
                         Aerospace Technical Center (CTA). This climatological data were 
                         collected by the land meteorological station at the CLA, located 
                         in the latitude 02° 22'S, longitude 44° 23'W, constituted by a 11 
                         (eleven) years (1993 - 2003) temporal series and by the S{\~a}o 
                         Lu{\'{\i}}sīs airport meteorological station, constituted by a 
                         53 (fifty three) years temporal series.",
